    Time Event
    2:17p
    No whining here!
Well I have to say that Whine & Cheese was unquestionably a success!

Despite a few wrinkles ), people actually showed up and, contrary to the owner's dire prediction, didn't just stay long enough to drink the free wine and then leave. [info]caveynik and [info]suicideally both played good sets, though I could have done without Belinda Carlisle*, and double the bite-our-nails-and-hope-we-break-even number of punters showed up -- around 80 total! People were still coming in at 10 til 1, mainly mundanes who coloured my second set far more "pop" than it would have been otherwise, but they were well-behaved and requested The Clash and Placebo so it was all good. The owner was happy, the music was well-received and so far the only complaint I've heard was "the dance floor was too small" so I think we WILL indeed be doing this again sometime! :)

I'm a cheapskate and can't do a poll, so those who attended please leave your commentary: how was the space? The music? The staff? Anything else?

THANK YOU to everyone who came, especially those who plugged the thing in their LJs or helped hand out flyers, and a "nyeah nyeah" to those who didn't because it was a great time!
